^IAPsolutions is working on a project together with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) in the USA for the implementation of new management standards of communications based on control methods, management of equipment and security that work around the Smart Grid projects.

On 22nd and 23rd May, the Palacio de Congresos in Madrid was the backdrop to the 14th Meeting of the Information and Communication Technologies Sector. The event, whose slogan this year was "Europe 2020: the Digital Agenda”, was attended by a large number of personalities from the world of business and institutions involved in technological advances.

Telefónica and Vodafone UK cooperation between operators

The English mobile telephone operator, O2, owned by Telefónica, and Vodafone UK, have announced they will unite their network infrastructure to increase their 2G/3G coverage. As regards 4G, the agreement means higher guarantees of success for the deployment needed for this network to support 98% of the population in a three year period.
